About Us

Glenn desperately searched for a second chance, a clean slate.  Running his own life had brought his vessel to shipwreck at age 22.  It wasn’t until his grandmother showed him a verse he had never seen before…John 3:16…that he “believed” and became part of that innumerable “whosoever!”  A year later found him in a small Bible college in Virginia Beach, Virginia, six hundred miles from his native Massachusetts.  Sitting under the ministry of God’s Word fanned his burning desire to preach the gospel to the whole world.  This news was too good to keep to himself!

His “second missionary calling” also took place in that small classroom setting…he met and fell in love with one of his fellow students!  Married in June of 1980, Glenn and Marci earnestly prayed that the Lord would show them through His Word exactly what foreign soil He would have them serve.  Meanwhile, Glenn was introduced to a ministry that reached out to international seamen that docked in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.  The ministry held a fascination to him and he felt certain the Lord would direct him to the exact field he was to serve through daily meeting these seamen from over 90 different countries of the world.  The Lord did show both him and Marci, through two different scriptures, that they were to “go” by “staying.” The Lord was going to “ship” their mission field to them.

Glenn absolutely loves what he is doing!  A ministry specially tailored to his personality and gifts. Glenn and Marci have also been blessed with 10 cherished arrows for their quiver.  Even though some of them have married, they covet your prayers for the family aspect of their ministry.  The Mongolds are especially grateful for the faithful, encouraging outreach of Faith Baptist that enables them to continue to reach out to the world on a daily basis!

The Mongolds are relatives of the Matsons who were here in our Conference last year.  Marci is their daughter.  It has been many years since the Mongolds have been here.  We welcome them back.
