Curtis Tomlin
Administrator
Curtis and his wife, Jennifer, began their ministry at Faith Baptist Church in June of 2022. Curtis presently serves as the Vice-Administrator of Hidden Treasure Christian School. He serves in the music ministry at church.
Curtis was born in Ohio, but grew up in Virginia Beach at Tabernacle Baptist Church, pastored by Dr. Rod L. Bell. Jennifer was born in Maine but grew up in the Philippines, California, and Virginia due to her dad being in the Air Force. After high school, Curtis attended Bob Jones University and graduated in 1996 with a degree in Music Education with a choral and piano proficiency. Jennifer and he were married after college.
God has given Curtis and Jennifer the opportunity to be a blessing in several schools over the last 26 years, and Curtis says that each school has given he and his wife what they needed for the next step in the Lord’s ministry. Their ministries have all been on the east coast but most recently back up in Virginia at Heritage Christian School in Woodbridge. Curtis also has a masters in education from Veritas Baptist College in Fredericksburg, VA. Jennifer is a 2021 graduate of Liberty University with a degree in special education.
Curtis has enjoyed the opportunity to teach music and do school administration for the last 26 years. He has taught many other subjects in the school setting, but he enjoys playing the piano, accompanying vocalists, instrumentalists, ensembles, and choirs. In his spare time, he enjoys working outside, gardening, photography, travel, and spending time with his family. Curtis and Jennifer have had a passion for many years to work with students that have special needs. One of Curtis’ favorite Bible verses is Psalm 143:8–“Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning, for in thee do I put my trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.” Curtis and Jennifer have two children, Micah and Kadence.
