Tim Fisher

Music Pastor

Tim Fisher oversees the music ministry at FBC. He joined our staff in 1999 on a part-time basis, and transitioned to full-time in 2013. Tim is responsible for coordinating the music program and works with logistics and planning for special events.

Before coming to FBC, Tim served the Lord as the owner and operator of Sacred Music Services (SMS), which he started in 1987. SMS has provided sacred music recordings to churches for thirty years, and Tim has been involved in recording production for twenty years primarily as a freelance orchestrator. He has worked with The Wilds, Majesty Music, Lorenz Publishing, Herbster Evangelistic Association and a number of smaller organizations on about 275 recordings. Tim and his wife Debi have traveled across the U.S. and around the world, singing and preaching about music in over two thousand churches.

In 1992, Tim published The Battle for Christian Music, and in 1998 he published Harmony at Home. Both books discuss Biblical principles and applications about music for Christian families.

Each week, Tim looks forward to hearing the FBC congregation sing. His greatest joy is hearing people sing from their hearts to the Lord, and he loves working together with a variety of people with many talents to minister the Word of God in music. When he’s not at the church, you can usually find him working on a new orchestration or relaxing on the golf course. Tim and Debi have one daughter, Christina, and four grandchildren with whom they spend as much time as possible!
